Re-tellings

I have been obsessed with re-tellings now-a-days. Like all I have been reading are re-telling based on disney's princess and princes. So far the re-tellings include Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast. I have read re-tellings that are not disney based and have loved them. For example, The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdeith is a re-telling of A Thousand and One Nights. I haven't read A Thousand and One nights yet but its happening soon because summer is just around the corner so time to sit around my bookshelf, read and review.

Ok I'm done ranting. Let's get on with the recommendations. The books that I have are not all disney based but some of them are.

The first book that I have is:

 Withering Rose by Kaitlyn Davis

This book is a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast. I loved this book so much. If you watch the movie first (disney) and then read this book, you will be able to make connections throughout this book. Kaitlyn is a self-published author. A lot of people think that the author's who self-publish are not great because they didn't go through major publishers. But this was a great book. I'm not trying to insult anyone, self-publishers and publishers.

The second book that I have is:

 The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdeith

This move is a re-telling of A Thousand and One Nights. I haven't actually read A Thousand and One Nights and it pains me that I haven't read it. But as I said before my exams finish about next week and Summer is here.
